huck the fuskies

Perfect. That's how UH Warrior's football season ended tonight. Thanks to Iris, I was able to attend the last game of the season vs. Washington Huskies. UH had an unbelievable come-from-behind win that only happens in Disney movies. Coming from a 21-0 deficit in the first quarter, UH came back to beat UW 35-28. It was CRAZY! As I was looking online to see what others had to say about the 2007 Cinderella team, I got upset with what people were saying about UH...Weak schedule, cupcake season, etc. But, as I read on, and as I read local blogs and was inspired by the love that everyone in the state has for the team and I was able to put aside those feelings and really dwell in this moment. The UH football team has given this state something to believe in for the first time in MANY years, and the people of Hawaii have embraced them with open arms. The other Big 10, Pac-10, SEC, etc. conference teams can bitch all they want about UH, but when it comes down to it, the "W" is what really matters, and that's one thing that UH knows how to do. So I applaud Coach Jones, Colt Brennan, Jason Rivers, and even Daniel Libre (who represented Konawaena like a true champ), and the rest of the UH Warriors for an outstanding season. It's been a wild ride, and I'm happy to have seen it. I'm looking forward to a "SWEET" ending to a great season.
